Jawdrop is White City Innovation District’s (WCID) summit for academics, startups, scaleups, enterprise and investors (https://www.imperial.ac.uk/events/171928/jawdrop-life-sciences-summit-addressing-healthy-ageing-pandemics-and-amr-imperial-enterprise/).
The Aprile Lab was invited to be one of the exhibitors under the theme 'healthy aging'. We were excited to share about our research with a broad audience, including potential collaborators, investors and policy makers.
We used 3D-printed protein models to demonstrate the pathological process of protein aggregation in the brain of dementia patients.
The panel sessions were really informative, and give us lots of ideas about how to bring our research out of the lab to bring real-life benefits to people.
